Hello!

Below is my recent series of figurative paintings. Each piece was created in 2010 and are being exhibited in the Leighdon Studio Gallery in Vancouver. For details, please see my first post.

My work is constantly improving and I live to learn. In the future I plan to obtain a Masters of Painting and perhaps move on to a PHD in Art History. For now, I would like to teach children and/or adults painting techniques.

Cable TV, here I come!

Monday, May 3rd I will be making my cable tv debut! Watch a two minute segment about me on The Express on Channel 4, a Shaw cable tv station. The story will first play on the 3rd at 3 PM, and then again at 6 PM, 8 PM, and 10 PM as well as tuesday at: 5:30 AM, 10 AM, 11:30 AM, and 2 PM.

The works for my upcoming exhibition are almost finished! Are you excited? I know I am! I haven’t had much time to update on here since I have had so much crap to do as of late.

You may not know me, and I may not know you, but if you are in the Vancouver Area on May 7th you may as well check out the Leighdon Studio Gallery! The opening lasts from 6 PM- 8 PM but the show will be up until the 29th of May. 190 West 3rd Avnue, Vancouver! You’re invited, really!!

Hello, one and whoever the hell reads this!

I am busy painting my life away in my studio for my upcoming show. Would you like to come and see it?

This new series is made up of a number of figurative paintings all made this year, fresh right out of my brain! Colourful, energetic bodies in abstracted landscapes are featured in this exhibition. Some of the paintings are very large and the biggest is four by six feet. Every canvas is reused as I am a hippie and try to maintain environmentalism in my practice. There is a distinct freshness in the series that I have never before created. It is without a doubt my best work to date and I hope to see you at the opening!

The show is on May 4th-29th 2010 at the Leighdon Studio Gallery at 190 3rd Avenue Vancouver. The opening is May 7th 6 PM- 8 PM, be there or be square!!
